In this article you will find detailed instruction on how to install and configure "Facebook Products Tab" Magento extension. Using this extension you can show featured Magento products directly in your Facebook page.

After installation of the Facebook Products Tab Magento module via Magento connect, you will need to choose what products to show in your Facebook page.
Open any product in your Magento backend and switch "In Facebook" product attribute to "Yes".
After this you will need to setup new Facebook application for your Magento store.
Log in to your Facebook account, visit this link www.facebook.com/developers and click "+ Set Up New App" button.
Enter "Application name" e.g. "Store" and click "Create Application" button.
In the "About" tab enter "Application Name" and change application icon to your own.
In the "Facebook Integration" tab enter "Canvas URL", "Secure Canvas URL", "Tab Name" and "Tab URL".
You can change the iFrame size to "Auto-resize" if needed.
Save the application, you will be redirected to Facebook application summary page.
Click on the "Application Profile Page" link.
On the Facebook application profile page, click the "Add to my page" link:
Add application to your Facebook page:
Check you Facebook page, you will see new "Store" link with your Magento products.

its imposible that facebook connects to a place where theres nothing called that way.

Everything is correct. The /facebook-catalog/ is virtual directory, you cannot see it using FTP, just like 'admin' folder.

And ‘in_facebook’ condition is actually product attribute.
