This document contains documentation for our Joomla! component Easy Ajax Gallery.


Installation

1 - Open Easy Ajax Gallery URL, click "Download" button and save "com_easy_gallery.zip" archive to your computer.

2 - Log in to your Joomla administration zone and open "Extensions" -> "Install/Uninstall" page.

3 - In the "Upload Package File" section choose the "com_easy_gallery.zip" archive from your computer and click "Upload File & Install".

4 - After this component will be installed and you will see "Component was successfully installed" message.


Add images to the gallery

You can add images to the Easy Gallery on "Components" -> "Easy Gallery" page:

How to add images:

1 - Click "New" icon:

2 - On the "New image" page choose the image you want to upload, enter "Alt" description (good for SEO), Image description and switch on the "Approve" check box if you want to show the image in the gallery just after uploading:


Add Image Gallery to the Joomla menu, component configuration settings

In order to show Image Gallery in the Joomla menu you should:

1 - Open the "Menus" -> "Main Menu" page.

2 - Click "New" icon:

3 - Select "Easy Gallery" -> "EasyGallery Default Layout" item:

4 - On the new page enter information to the following fields:

- Title: enter the title of the image gallery page.
- Alias: enter SEO friendly URL of the page.
- Open "Parameters (Component)" tab and configure component in the way you like.

The following options are available:

- Gallery width (px):
Width of the image on the gallery page.

- Gallery height (px):
Height of the image on the gallery page.

- Thumbnail quantity:
Quantity of the thumbnails on the gallery page.

- Thumbnail width (px):
Width of the thumbnails in pixels.

- Thumbnail height (px):
Height of the thumbnails in pixels.

- Top text:
Text above image gallery on the gallery page.

- Bottom text:
Text below image gallery on the gallery page.
